Synthesis Dance Project is a PURE DANCE experience from NYC. Under the direction of Tracie Stanfield, Synthesis Dance Project celebrates technical precision, athletic ability and passionate performances.  Successful US engagements include Boston University, Hollywood Performing Arts Center and Towson University. Additional NY engagements include performances at Symphony Space, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The DUKE, Untermyer Park in Yonkers, Dixon Place, Joyce Soho, The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row, Ailey’s Citigroup Theatre and others.

Derek Mitchell Dance Company has performed in numerous Festivals around the U.S. including APAP Showcase, Young Choreographers Festival, Pushing Progress, Sirens After Dark, Carnival NY and LA, The BDC 25th Anniversary Gala and Sybarite. Derek Mitchell strives to create pieces that always tell a story through the art of dance in which the viewer is able to see their lives reflected before their eyes.

Les Femmes Plus – Germaine Salsberg has been teaching tap dancing at Broadway Dance Center in New York City for over 25 years. She has also been on the faculty  of Steps on Broadway, Cap 21 musical Theater conservatory, NYU Steinhardt, and is presently at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. Before becoming a tap dancer she was a modern dancer with Toronto Dance Theatre for 7 years and before that she was a child actress acting in television and radio in her native Canada.. In 2005 she began her creative journey, forming Les Femmes Plus.  “My mission is to utilize tap dancing, as well as other elements of my background (acting, modern dance) in order to delight people. When someone says of a piece or performance that they found us delightful I am very happy.”

The Next Stage Project:  Founded in 2002 by Artistic Directors Marijke Eliasberg and Jana Hicks, The Next Stage Project (TNSP) is a dance collective, which creates performance opportunities and experiences to help dancers further their careers and realize their dreams. By forming partnerships between artists from around the globe, creating and seeking national and international venues to perform our works, TNSP aims to push artists to their next level and to challenge and encourage creative artistic growth through dance, choreography, performance, education and exchange programs.

R.E.D:  Rhapsody James is a native New Yorker and graduate of Purchase College. She founded R.E.D after her success with multimedia cabaret show, Siren Assassins, and her dance training program, Motivating Excellence. With over twenty years of experience within the dance community she continues to be one of the worlds most sought after choreographers and instructors. Her choreography credits include: Beyoncé, Madonna, Britney Spears, and The Jonas Brothers, as well as company appearances on internationally renowned stages from New York City to Switzerland.

Artistic Director and Choreographer, Joyce King allows herself to be vulnerable as both artist and person….’,(J. Thompson), and picked by NYC10 Audience’s as top performance in Oct. 2012.  JKDC is the 2011 recipient of the BUILD grant and The Field’s Artists Residency, FAR Space, throughout NYC, most recently at mmac . King is on faculty at Steps on Broadway, Joffrey Ballet Program and guest teacher at Broadway Dance Center. Presently Artistic Director, Joyce King is choreographing as part of the collaboration for Louis Vuitton’s ‘Life is a Journey’ with Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary ~ performances Feb14th,at mmac. In addition, JKing Dance Company is developing their 2nd full evening ‘UnWrapped’ to be presented on May 11th, 2013 at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, NYC and very excited to be part of this years Brooklyn Dance Festival!  Joyce is happily married to Ray and the proud mom of her 9 yr. old son, Aidan.

DEMA Dance Company – DeMa Dance Company was founded in 2009 by Matina Simegiatos and Despina Simegiatos in Brooklyn, NY. The company seamlessly fuses ballet, jazz, and modern dance to create tableaus addressing universal themes of humanity. Incorporating narrative and geometric non-narrative choreography, their versatile repertory focuses upon strength, boldness, and fearlessness of the individual, and the individual’s power to affect the world around them. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Yesid Lopez, DeMa embraces a wide spectrum of movement, from the sensual to the symmetrical and statuesque.
